Posted on : Monday 21st of November 2016

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra addressed the Global Citizen Event in Mumbai, which is being headlined by renowned British band ‘Coldplay’. In his address, Modi began by asserting that he would keep his speech short, as the young audience is eager to see Coldplay perform in an unplugged manner. Modi asserted that Global Citizen Event sent out a strong message by organizing the festival on the International Toilet Day.

Interestingly, Modi also left a hard-hitting message for India’s youth, urging them to build seize the time of their life to build a better future for the nation. “India is a young country and our future is build on the choices you make and the actions you take. I hope you too will seize the moment,” Modi said, seeking more participation of the youth in public life. ” I always look forward to being among young people, it refreshes and re-energises me. You bring an energy that is unparalleled,” Modi told the 90,000 strong gathering.

Prime Minister Modi further added that it is the youth of the nation which has wholeheartedly supported his initiatives like the ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’. Modi also claimed that the young generation of the nation has been on the forefront to fight the menace of black money, unemployment and corruption. “On the whole, I’m convinced that we can and we will build a Swachh Bharat free of all forms of filth within one generation,” Modi said.

“I know that I stand between you and Coldplay and so will make this brief. You’ve been smart in asking me to only address gathering and not sing, or else I’m sure you’d be asking money back that too in Rs100 notes,” Modi said in a light-hearted manner.
